Dr. Reddy Laboratories Announces of Sputnik Vaccine Rs 948 per dose in India

Sputnik V is now approved for use in 60 countries around the world.

Hyderabad, May 14: Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories said on Friday that the first consignment of imported doses of Sputnik V vaccine, which landed in India on May 1, received regulatory approval from the Central Pharmaceutical Laboratory in Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh on May 13.

As part of a limited pilot, the soft launch of the vaccine has begun and the first dose is given here today.

Further consignments of imported doses are expected in the coming months, the company said in a statement.

After this, the supply of Sputnik V vaccine will start from Indian Manufacturing Partners. The imported dose of the vaccine is currently priced at Rs 948 plus 5 per cent GST per dose, with the possibility of a lower price point when local supply starts.

The company is working closely with its six manufacturing partners to meet regulatory requirements to ensure smooth and timely supply.

Dr Reddy’s said that it would work closely with government and private sector stakeholders to ensure the widest possible access to the Sputnik V vaccine as part of a national vaccination effort.

This is a reaffirmation of the company’s commitment to locate each avenue in the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic.
