New Delhi: Fugitive diamond trader Mehul Choksi, who recently fled Antigua and Barbuda, was nabbed in neighboring Dominica after issuing an Interpol Yellow Notice against him, local media reported on Wednesday.
Police in Dominica caught Choksi on Tuesday night (local time) after Antipua and Barbuda issued Interpol Yellow Notices.
Choksi had been living in Antigua and Barbuda since 2018 after taking citizenship, the Antigua News Room reported.
A yellow notice is issued by Interpol to track the missing persons.
Local media reports state that efforts are being made to hand him over to the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda.
Choksi, who was wanted in a loan fraud of Rs 13,500 crore at Punjab National Bank, was last seen going to dinner in his car in Antigua and Barbuda on Sunday.
After his car was found, his employees reported his disappearance.
His lawyer Vijay Aggarwal had confirmed that Choksi has been missing since Sunday
