Gift for Greater Noida residents: CM Yogi to inaugurate Parthala flyover

NOIDA: The wait for lakhs of Noida and Greater Noida residents facing inconvenience due to heavy traffic jams will finally end on Sunday as Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is set to inaugurate the much-awaited Parthala flyover in Greater Noida. Noida West.

Built at a cost of around Rs 80 crore, the six-lane, 697-metre-long “Signature flyover” is expected to provide relief to lakhs of commuters between Noida and Greater Noida who get stuck in road traffic at Parthala Chowk junction.

Adityanath is scheduled to visit Noida today and inaugurate several infrastructure projects including Advance Underpass in Sector 137 and Parthala flyover in Sector 121. He will hand over 50 cars to the Noida Police and rename an intersection in Sector 10 as Ramnath Goenka Marg. He will also inaugurate Adverb Lab in Greater Noida.

The construction of the flyover began on 24 December 2020 and was scheduled to be completed by 20 December. However, the construction work got delayed.

Meanwhile, security has been tightened in Noida and Greater Noida ahead of the Chief Minister’s visit. Gautam Budh Nagar police said, “More than 3,000 personnel of a contingent of civil force, six companies of Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) and one company of Rapid Action Force (RAF) will be deployed in the areas where the CM is scheduled to visit.” ” Commissioner Laxmi Singh.

Traffic Advisory for Noida, Greater Noida

The traffic police has also issued a diversion plan for Noida and Greater Noida on Sunday. “In Noida, traffic movement will remain restricted from City Center Underpass to Sector 12/22 crossing. Traffic restrictions will also remain in place from Sector 12/22 to Rajnigandha Chowk in Sector 16; Sector 31/25 to Sector 8, 10, 11, and 12; Sector 33/53 to Sector 33 T-Point; and Sector 54 from Police Check Post to Jalvayu Vihar,” said the advisory issued by the traffic police department.

Traffic police said that they may restrict traffic movement on Noida’s elevated road and Noida-Greater Noida Expressway for some time during VIP movement.

The advisory states, “In Greater Noida, there will be traffic restrictions from Pushta T-Point to Sector Omicron Roundabout; from Omicron Roundabout to Sirsa Roundabout; from Sirsa Roundabout to Rampur-Fatehpur T-Point and from there to Advarb Factory in Kasna.” “

Emergency vehicles will be exempted from this traffic diversion. The traffic police has advised people to plan their journey accordingly. Police has also issued a helpline number 9971009001 for the passengers.
