Gold Price: Russia-Ukraine war led to rise in Gold prices

The yellow metal saw a rise in prices in almost all major cities of the country. For example, according to a report by Good Returns, gold was priced at Rs 10,000 per 100 grams on Thursday (March 3) across all cities in the country.

New Delhi: On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) today, gold stood at Rs 51,788 on March 3, with a jump of nearly 1% in the backdrop of Russia-Ukraine war and rising oil prices.

The yellow metal saw a rise in prices in almost all major cities of the country. For example, according to a report by Good Returns, gold was priced at Rs 10,000 per 100 grams on Thursday (March 3) across all cities in the country.

According to HDFC Securities, gold prices rose by Rs 271 to Rs 51,670 per 10 grams in Delhi, in line with firmer international precious metal prices and depreciation of the rupee.

In the previous trade, gold had closed at Rs 51,399 per 10 grams on Wednesday (March 2). HDFC Securities Senior Analyst (Commodities) Tapan Patel told PTI, “Gold was trading firm at $1,932 an ounce in Comex on Thursday with the spot price of gold.”

On the other hand, silver also rose by Rs 818 to Rs 68,425 per kg from Rs 67,607 per kg in the previous trade.
