Hathras Case: 4 PFI Activists Arrested From Mathura

New Delhi: In Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh, police arrested 4 people belonging to the extremist group Popular Front of India (PFI) and its affiliate Campus Front of India (CFI) on Monday evening. Inflammatory literature related to the Hathras gangrape case has been found from the arrested people. Their mobiles, laptops have been confiscated. The four accused were going to Hathras from Delhi.

Police and intelligence companies are busy interrogating the accused. On Sunday, police revealed a conspiracy to incite ethnic violence in UP on the pretext of Hathras. The name of PFI has been revealed in this. PFI means Popular Front of India is an extremist Islamic group. Its main workplace is in Shaheen Bagh, Delhi. The group was involved in riots in Delhi in protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).

ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar said, “Some suspicious people were reported to be coming to Hathras from Delhi. After this input, an alert was issued to intelligence agencies and all areas adjacent to Hathras. “

He said, “Vehicles were being checked at the toll plaza in Mathura at around 11 am on Monday night. During this time a Swift Dzire car was stopped. There were 4 people in the car. During the interrogation, his actions seemed suspicious. When he was questioned in custody, it was found that he was associated with the PFI and the CFI organization. “

The arrested accused include Atiq of Muzaffarnagar, Masood Ahmed of Bahraich, Alam of Rampur and Siddiq of Mallapuram in Kerala. Security companies are finding out who else is involved in the conspiracy to incite riots in Uttar Pradesh on the pretext of Hathras.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) can file a case of Enforcement Directorate (ED) money laundering against the web site ‘Justice for Hathras’ created on the same day after the Hathras incident. Initial investigations have revealed that the web site obtained funds from a suspected group for violent demonstrations. Apart from this, there has been talk of getting funding from abroad.

The UP police on Sunday registered a case against the website, revealing a conspiracy to incite ethnic riots. The police mentioned that the false statements of Chief Minister Yogi were put on the web site so that the atmosphere worsens and the riots erupt.
