The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has recently launched a portal using which you can check how many mobile numbers are registered on an Aadhaar card. According to the website, the service called Telecom Analytics for Fraud Management and Consumer Protection (TAFCOP) is currently available only for users in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

On Thursday, Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma took to Twitter to appreciate the initiative. “Very useful service launched by the Department of Telecom. Type your mobile number and you will get to know the mobile numbers of all the SIM cards purchased from your Aadhaar,” tweeted Sharma.
