Meghalaya Governor Satya Pal Malik tried to reach a compromise between the farmers and the Center. Malik said that if the government agrees on the Minimum Support Price (MSP) and gives legal recognition, then the farmers’ opposition could end. Malik said,
“To end the issue of farmers, both sides have to show nobility. If the Center agrees on MSP and gives legal recognition then the agitation will come to an end. “Earlier, at an event in Baghpat, UP, Malik urged the Center not to insult farmers.
He said that he has requested PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah not to use force against farmers. Malik also urged him not to send him home empty-handed from Delhi.
