International Trade Fair 2023: Delhi Police issues traffic advisory

International Trade Fair 2023: Delhi Traffic Police issued a traffic advisory in view of the India International Trade Fair 2023 to be held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The event began on 14 November and will end on 27 November.

Traffic restrictions and changes

To avoid traffic congestion, commuters should avoid Mathura Road, Bhairon Marg, Ring Road, Shershah Road and Purana Qila Road.

There will be no permission to stop or park vehicles on Mathura Road and Bhairon Marg. Parking will not be allowed on Shershah Road, Purana Qila Road, Bhagwan Das Road and Tilak Marg.

As per the instructions, visitors to the trade fair are advised to use public transport. Visitors using Delhi Metro will have to alight at Supreme Court Metro station and enter ITPO through Gate No. 10 or use the shuttle service to enter through Gates 6 and 4. Visitors can also get down at Mandi House metro station and walk to the venue. Visitors traveling by DTC buses will have to alight at Mathura Road bus stop.

Time for visitors

Only trade visitors will be allowed from November 14 to 18, while the trade fair will be open to the general public from November 19 to 27. Entry to the trade fair will close after 5:30 pm each day.

Some gates of Pragati Maidan will remain closed for entry of visitors including gate numbers 5-A, 5-8, 7, 8 and 9. The gates through which visitors will be allowed to enter are gate numbers 1, 4, 6 and 10. Exhibitors will be allowed from Gate No. 1, 4, 5B and 10.

Drop off points for visitors include the entrance to the service lane and basement parking opposite Gate No. 3 and Gate No. 7 of ITPO.

The trade fair is expected to attract around 40,000 visitors each day, while around one lakh visitors are expected during weekends and holidays. Areas around Pragati Maidan will experience traffic congestion and road diversions will be implemented.
