Lalu Prasad’s condition critical, Tejashwi will meet Nitish for Lalu health issue

Patna: Former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi, Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejashwi Yadav, and his elder brother Tej Pratap Yadav on Friday night met Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad undergoing treatment at Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (TDP) in Ranchi.

Lalu Prasad had complained of chest tightness on Thursday evening, after which he was being monitored by top doctors of the institute. Prasad, who is serving a jail sentence in fodder scam cases, is undergoing treatment at RIMS. Lalu’s condition is said to be critical.

Talking to reporters around midnight after meeting his father, Tejashwi Yadav said that the family is very concerned about his health condition.

Tejashwi, while answering the media’s questions, asked if Lalu Prasad would be shifted to another place for better treatment. However, he also clarified that it will be decided only after all reports are available. Let me tell you that Lalu Prasad Yadav is over 70 years old and is suffering from many diseases including diabetes, heart disease and reduced kidney function. Due to his complaint of chest tightness, we were worried. We come to know that his lungs are filled with water, which is a matter of concern.

Tejashwi Yadav, who came to see Lalu Yadav, told news agency ANI after leaving RIMS, “Our family wants better treatment for his father Lalu Prasad Yadav” Treatment can be given. His condition is critical. I will meet the Chief Minister tomorrow (Saturday).”
