Recently, Man Singh won the runner-up title for VLCC Femina Miss India 2020. From being the daughter of an auto rickshaw driver to runner up in a beauty contest, her journey has become a topic of discussion across the country.
Singh was invited to a function by his alma mater, Thakur College of Science and Commerce, Mumbai. She arrived at the event at her father Omprakash Singh’s Auto and led a grand auto rally.
After Manya and her family were welcomed into college, her parents became emotional. At the venue, Manya is clicked, wiping her father’s tears and seeking mother’s blessings.
Overcoming myriad struggles, Manya won the title of runner-up of the prestigious Femina Miss India beauty pageant. The beauty contest was held on the night of 9 February. Manasa Varanasi of Telangana won the Femina Miss India 2020 title, while Manika Shyokand of Haryana won the Femina Miss Grand India 2020 title.
In a post shared by the official Instagram account of Femina Miss India in December 2020, Mansi described the obstacles she had to overcome to complete her studies. She used to study during the day and wash dishes in the evening and work in the call center at night. According to Manya, her entry into the beauty pageant is to show the world that nothing is impossible if one is committed to her dreams and uplifting her family.
After her win, Manya took to Instagram and shared a photo of her parents, where they are holding a newspaper with a photo of Manya after being crowned. Expressing gratitude to his parents, he wrote ‘I worship him’ on his Instagram story.
Manya was born in Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh. Her parents and Manya worked hard to mold themselves through Lohia Inter College in Sahwa, UP.
After completing her schooling, Manya enrolled in the Thakur College of Science and Commerce in Mumbai. Currently, she is preparing to pursue management studies as Femina considers Miss India’s runner-up education as the ‘strongest weapon’. ‘
