NCB hits out at Nawab Malik over allegations against Sameer Wankhede

NCB officials said, ‘Why can’t Malik reach the courts instead of level allegations?

Targeting Nawab Malik, Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officials sought evidence from the Maharashtra minister, following his allegations that NCB regional director Sameer Wankhede was in Dubai and Maldives, and had spoken to BJP leader Mohit Bhartiya, who is also known as Mohit Kamboj.

At a press conference in Mumbai, NCP leader Nawab Malik claimed that Sameer Wankhede was part of a conspiracy to kidnap Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan.

Malik said that the matter was actually of ‘kidnapping and ransom’. He said that Aryan did not buy any tickets for the cruise party, but it was Prateek Gaba and Amir Furniturewala who brought him on the cruise.

He further said that Wankhede was not an informer of NCB and was not in touch with Sam D’Souza.

Sam D’Souza’s name has surfaced in the Mumbai cruise drugs bust case that led to the arrest of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan.

Talking about the conversation between Sam and VV Singh, NCB sources said that there was nothing wrong with that phone call, as the officers were warning Sam not to change his phone so often.

Prabhakar Cell, who claims to be KP Gosavi’s personal bodyguard, alleged that he overheard Gosavi and Sam D’Souza talking about the payment of Rs 25 crore to release Aryan Khan in the case.

“They were discussing that Rs 8 crore would be given to Samir Wankhede, the zonal director of NCB,” SAIL said in a press conference.
