New Delhi: The number of active cases of Covid-19 in India has fallen to 22,28,724 today. The number of active cases has decreased since reaching its last peak on 10 May 2021. There has been a total decrease of 1,14,428 in the number of active cases in the last 24 hours. It now accounts for only 8.04 percent of the total Covid positive cases in the country.
With the continuous decrease in the number of new cases daily, the number of new cases of Covid-19 in India is now less than three lakhs for the 13th consecutive day. For the last two days, the number of new cases is being recorded less than two lakhs. In the last 24 hours, 1,73,790 new cases were reported.
Also, the daily number of people recovering from the disease in India is more than the 16th consecutive day of daily new cases of Covid-19. In the last 24 hours, 2,84,601 people have recovered from the disease.
In the last 24 hours, 1,10,811 more people have recovered from the disease than the daily new cases.
Covid-19 has already been cured out of a total of 2,51,78,011 people since the epidemic started in India and a total of 2,84,601 people have recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours. The national rate of recovery from disease has also improved to 90.80 percent.
A total of 20,80,048 tests were conducted in India in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of investigations so far to 34.11 crores.
While on the one hand, the screening of Covid has increased throughout the country, on the other hand, the weekly positivity rate is also continuously decreasing. The weekly positivity rate is currently 9.84 percent while the daily positivity rate has come down to 8.36 percent today. It has remained less than 10 percent for five consecutive days.
As per the third phase of the nationwide vaccination campaign in India, the number of doses of Covid-19 vaccine given in the country today has gone up to more than 20.89 crores. India is the second country after America to achieve the historic milestone of 200 million doses.
According to the temporary report, a total of 20,89,02,445 doses of Covid-19 vaccine have been given in 29,72,971 sessions till 7 am today.
