Only One toll plaza in 60 km range; six airbags is mandatory in every vehicle; Nitin Gadkari

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has given great news for the drivers. Often people driving vehicles are troubled by the toll coming some distance on the highway. Due to this, there is a loss of money, along with it, standing in line at toll is also a waste of time. In such a situation, while giving good news, Gadkari told in the Lok Sabha that within three months it will be ensured that there is only one toll plaza within 60 km. The rest will be closed.” Gadkari said that we need money but cannot trouble people.

He said that keeping in mind the safety, it has been made mandatory to have six airbags in every vehicle. Referring to the death of one and a half lakh people in road accidents every year in the country, the Road Transport Minister said that people keep dying and we keep watching… it cannot happen.

He said that by the end of this year, we are trying to complete the project so that it can reach Mumbai in 20 hours from Srinagar. Referring to the road infrastructure development works, Gadkari said that the government is working on several other projects, which will reach Jaipur, Haridwar and Dehradun from Delhi in two hours.

Besides, the projects aiming to reach Delhi to Amritsar in 4 hours, Chennai to Bangalore in 2 hours and Delhi to Mumbai in 12 hours are expected to be completed by the end of this year, he said. He said that our roads are linked to the prosperity of the country and development of road infrastructure will pave the way for the prosperity of the country.
