People criticized Covaxin because it was developed in India, says CJI NV Raman

Speaking at the Rameneni Foundation event in Hyderabad on Thursday, Chief Justice of India, NV Ramana praised Dr. Krishna M. Ella, MD, Bharat Biotech, and Suchitra M. Ella, joint MD, for their contribution to the development of pharmaceutical science.

Bharat Biotech received the 2021 Distinguished Award Award from the USA-based Rameneni Foundation, with the Chief Justice as the Guest of Honor at the event.

“I want to tell you one thing about vaccines. Various studies say that Covaxin is effective and even works on newer forms… But many people criticized it because it is available in India. Made in India.

There is a need to highlight the greatness of fellow Telugu people. A Telugu person should encourage another Telugu person in the world. There is a need for unity between us… this you must remember. The greatness of our Telugu language and culture should be promoted,” CJI Ramana said.

Dr. Ramineni Foundation celebrated the Mega Awards ceremony “Awardsam 2020 & 2021” on 23rd December.

The Foundation honored actor and social activist Sonu Sood with “Pratyaka Puraskar- 2020” for his exemplary contribution towards the society.

The CJI said that “India stands for Biotech Innovation. We are the world leaders in terms of technology. I am happy to present the awards to all the inspirational personalities for their efforts towards our society.”

Speaking about the rights against the covid pandemic, the CJI said that “the number of variants that have come up, the Indian vaccine is being used well. Many companies tried to bring down the Indian vaccine but it was successful. One should respect and love our motherland, mother tongue and mother country.”

The list of awardees for 2020 includes G R Chintalla, Chairman, NABARD who was conferred with the Distinguished Award, Actress and Producer Suma Kanakala, Healing Hasta Herbals Pvt. Ltd., Dr. B. Mastan Yadav, MD, and Bandlamudi Srinivas, MD, Dwarkamai Seva Trust were honored with the special award.

For 2021, the Distinguished Award will be conferred on Bharat Biotech, Founder Chairman and MD Dr Krishna M Ella and Joint MD Suchitra M Ella, the Special Award to Padma Shri K. Brahmadandam, Professor and Head of Anesthesiology NIMS Dr. Durga Padmaja and Telugu Film Journalist. Shri SV Rama Rao.
