PM flags off Uttarakhand’s first Vande Bharat train; ‘The world is looking towards India…’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday flagged off the Vande Bharat Express from Dehradun to Delhi. This is the first Vande Bharat to start in Uttarakhand.

“Many congratulations to all the people of Uttarakhand for the Vande Bharat Express train. This train running between Delhi to Dehradun will connect the country’s capital with Devbhoomi at a high speed. Now the time taken to travel by train between Delhi-Dehradun under Vande Bharat will also reduce significantly.

Inaugurating the new train, the PM said that he has returned after visiting three countries and has realized that “the whole world is looking towards India with great hopes”.

The Prime Minister said, ‘The way we Indians have strengthened our economy, the confidence of the whole world has increased.’

According to PM Modi, in the coming times, “Devbhoomi” Uttarakhand will become a center of attraction for the spiritual consciousness of the whole world and this train will further increase the movement.

The train has been indigenously manufactured and is equipped with advanced safety features including Kavach technology, the statement said. Inspired by the Prime Minister’s vision of providing a clean mode of public transport, the Indian Railways is looking to completely electrify the rail routes in the country.

Prime Minister Modi will also dedicate a new electrified rail line section in Uttarakhand. With this, the entire rail route of the state will be 100 percent electrified.
