PM Modi reaches Ayodhya to inaugurate Maharishi Valmiki international airport, railway station

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Ayodhya to inaugurate a redeveloped railway station and Maharishi Valmiki international airport. He will also lay the foundation stone of several development projects in Uttar Pradesh.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Ayodhya on Saturday to inaugurate a redeveloped railway station and an airport. He will also lay the foundation stone of several development projects in Uttar Pradesh.

Following his arrival, Modi held a road show during which he waved to people gathered en route from the airport to the railway station.

The Prime Minister watched the performance of cultural troupes en route to his roadshow and at one point opened the door of his vehicle to greet them.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who received Modi, said in a post on Twitter: “Hearty welcome and felicitations to Respected Prime Minister Shri @NarendraModi ji at Shri Ayodhya Dham…” Airport and railway station will be inaugurated by Road Prime Minister after the show.

Apart from the inauguration, Modi will flag off the new Amrit Bharat and Vande Bharat trains as well as dedicate railway projects to the nation.

Modi will participate in a public event where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of development projects worth more than Rs 15,700 crore for Uttar Pradesh.

These include projects worth about Rs 11,100 crore for the development of Ayodhya and its surrounding areas and projects worth about Rs 4,600 crore related to other works across Uttar Pradesh.
