‘Ram temple may be ready by 2024’s Makar Sankranti’

New Delhi: Champat Rai, general secretary of Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir Teerth Kshetra Trust, said that the grand Ram temple of Ayodhya can be ready by Makar Sankranti in 2024. He has made this announcement during the Ayodhya festival program in Delhi.

According to News18, Champat Rai said that I had earlier said that the inauguration of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple would be at the end of 2023. Its date is not finalized because the Sun is in Dakshinayana. It is then that we aim to inaugurate the temple on Makar Sankranti, when the Sun will enter Uttarayan. Which is considered an auspicious occasion.

Rai said that the day would be when Lord Rama would sit at his original place. Regarding the construction work, he said that a 6 feet high granite chair has been prepared for Lord Rama to sit on. We are expecting the temple construction work to start once the foundation and plinth work is completed in August this year. He also told that the work of carving stones has also started.

Let us inform that in this three-day program being held in the premises of Gandhi Smriti and Darshan located at Rajghat in Delhi, the monolithic recitation of Shri Ram Charit Manas started on Saturday morning. In the afternoon, MP Ramesh Vidhuri inaugurated the exhibition on Ayodhya and Minister of State in the Yogi government of UP, Satish Sharma inaugurated Sita Rasoi and Awadhi Haat of Awadhi cuisine.

The chief guest at the main function was Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, while the special guests were Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust’s President Kamalnayan Das, successor of Mani Ram Das Cantonment, General Secretary Champat Rai and senior journalist Jawaharlal Kaul.
