Registration date for purchase of paddy, maize in the state extended till 10 Nov

Korba: After the decision of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, the registration period of farmers has been extended by ten days for the purchase of paddy and maize in the state. Now, during the Kharif marketing year 2020-21, registration of new farmers selling paddy and maize on support price will be done by November 10. Earlier, the registration date for the farmers was set to 31 October. For registration of new farmers, after receiving the application from the cooperative society of the area, they will have to fill the application in the prescribed format and submit it with the relevant documents to the Tehsil office. The land mentioned in the application, paddy-maize acreage and measles will be verified by Patwari as per the revenue record. Bhuyan data base of the revenue department will also be used for verification. After examining the records by the tehsildar, the new farmer will be registered. During registration, the Aadhaar number of all the farmers will be entered with their consent. Due to not having an Aadhaar number, no farmer will be denied registration.

So far, three thousand 206 new farmers have registered themselves in committees to sell paddy in Korba district. To sell paddy and maize, old registered farmers need not come to the registration committee again. Last year, 27 thousand 694 farmers had registered in cooperative societies to sell paddy on support price. Including these, this year, the actual acreage of paddy in the fields of new and old 30 thousand 900 farmers is being verified rapidly and is being ingested in measles. So far 24 thousand 638 farmers have been verified paddy acreage out of the registered farmers of the previous year. So far, 454 farmers’ area has been canceled after verification. The remaining area of ​​the remaining 2,602 farmers is being rapidly verified by the field staff of Revenue Department. In this way, till now the area of ​​27 thousand 844 paddy in the district has been verified by adding new and old and it has been ingested in measles. According to Indraj acreage in measles, the area of ​​more than 42 thousand 112 hectares of paddy crop in the district has been verified, including new and old. Collector Smt. Kiran Kaushal has given instructions to all subdivisional revenue officers, Tehsildars and Patibaris including Naib Tehsildars to speed up the verification work of the remaining paddy acreage by November 5.

Farmers who had registered for the purchase of paddy and maize in the Kharif year 2019-20, do not need new registration. In the last season, the registered land of registered farmers, rice and maize acreage and measles are being updated by the revenue department. For farmer registration in the Kharif year 2020-21, the data of registered farmers in the previous year 2019-20 has been carried forward. New farmers willing to sell paddy and maize can apply for registration by 10 November. New farmers selling paddy and maize can apply for registration at the Tehsil office along with related documents. If the old registered farmers want to amend their registration, then the facility of amendment is being given through the committee module.
