Reliance spoke on demolition of towers in Punjab, says nothing to do with contract farming

New Delhi: Several towers of Reliance Jio’s were demolished in Punjab in protest against the new agricultural laws. Along with Reliance, the Adani Group products are also being targeted in this movement. Seeing their opposition, Reliance Industries on Monday clarified that the company has nothing to do with contract farming. Also, the company has also appealed to the state government to take the matter to notice.

Let us know that mobile towers of Reliance Jio are being targeted in the ongoing movement against agricultural laws. As a result, more than 1500 towers of Reliance Jio have been demolished in Punjab.

In a statement, Mukesh Ambani’s firm said that its subsidiary Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd has filed a petition in the Punjab and Haryana High Court seeking action against government officials for immediately stopping the demolition of telecom towers.

The company clarified that Reliance Industries Limited, Reliance Retail Limited, Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited and any other company associated with Reliance neither undertakes nor conducts corporate or contract farming nor does the company enter into this business in future plan.
