Republic Day Violence: Deep Sidhu arrested in connection of R-Day violence

After the tractor rally on 26 January, there was widespread outrage at protesters hoisting the religious flag at the Red Fort. Actor Deep Sidhu, who was present during the incident, sought to defend his action saying that he had not removed the national flag and placed ‘Nishan Sahib’ as a symbolic protest.

Activist Deep Sidhu, a Punjabi actor named after an accused in the Republic Day violence case, was arrested by the Special Cell of Delhi Police on Tuesday morning. The police had earlier announced a cash reward of Rs 1 lakh on Sindhu and her two associates. NIA sent summons to Deep Sidhu, NIA probe, justice for Sikhs.
