40 winning candidates have criminal cases against them, of which 16 per cent or 29 candidates have serious criminal cases pending against them.
As per the ADR analysis, a case of attempt to murder has been registered against the three winning candidates under IPC section 307.
Cases related to crime against women are registered against four of the winning candidates. A case of rape has been registered against one of them under IPC section 376.
Of the total 40 winning candidates with criminal cases, 26 are from the BJP, nine from the Congress and two from the AAP.
The list also has two independents and one Samajwadi Party candidate.
Of these, 20 candidates with serious criminal cases against them belong to the BJP, four to the Congress, two to the AAP, two independents and one to the SP.
