The Ethics Committee of the Lok Sabha will decide on summoning others named in the letter sent to the panel by TMC MP Mahua Moitra and businessman Darshan Hiranandani, who claimed that the TMC leader had given them access to his Parliament login ID and password. The committee has asked Dubey and Supreme Court lawyer Jai Anant Dehadrai to appear with oral evidence in support of their allegations that Moitra was asking questions in the Lok Sabha “in return for favors and gifts from Hiranandani” and even “given her her Parliament login ID and Also allowed access to the password” .

Moitra also remained active on X, offering to answer questions asked by the CBI and the Ethics Committee, as well as attacking the panel. “I welcome answering questions from the CBI and the Ethics Committee (which has an absolute majority of BJP members), if they call me.
