The 51st IFFI Festival will begin with Thomas Winterberg’s film Another Round

New Delhi: The 51st International Indian Film Festival – IFFI will begin on January 16, 2021, with the Indian premiere of Thomas Winterberg’s film ‘Another Round’. In this film, Mads Mikkelsen, who won the Best Actor Award at Canfest, has acted and Iffi will feature films with many such film stars. The film is also Denmark’s official entry to the Oscars.

The festival will also have the world premiere of ‘Mehrunisa’. Directed by Sandeep Kumar, the film will be screened in the middle of the festival. The film, starring strong actress Farooq Zafar, tells the story of a woman’s dream of a woman.

The festival will conclude on 24 January 2021 with the India premiere of Kiyoshi Kurosawa’s historical drama film Wife of a Spy. The Japanese film received the Silver Lion Award for Best Director at the Venice International Film Festival.

The 51st IFFI is being held in Goa from 16 to 24 January 2021. This edition is being held in hybrid mode for the first time and will include both online and in-person experiences. This festival will be full of many famous films, a total of 224 films from all over the world will be screened here. It also includes 21 non-feature films and 26 feature films under the Indian Panorama Film section.

Media registration for this festival has recently started and is available till January 10, 2021. Applicants must be over 21 years of age by 1 January 2021 and must have at least 3 years of professional experience covering major international film festivals such as IFFI.
