The big boost for BJP in Kerala as 98 Left activists joined saffron party ahead of Kerala in elections

Thiruvananthapuram: A major boost for the saffron party, 98 activists of the Left parties joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Kerala in the elections. 98 was a former member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI (M)], the Communist Party of India (CPI), and the Indian Trade Unions (CITU) who worked at the grassroots. He joined the party in the presence of Union Ministers V Muralitharan and Prahlad Joshi.

There is a push for the saffron party’s strength in the southern states after the party started its Vijay Yatra on 21 February kickstarted by BJP leaders and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The Vijay Yatra is an attempt to expand the party’s footprints in South India before the Assembly elections between April and May. Top party leaders and union ministers are expected to join the yatra, the final phase of which will be addressed by Home Minister Amit Shah on 7 March.

On 21 February, ‘Metro Man’ E Sreedharan joined the BJP in Kerala during his Vijay Yatra. “I have expressed my intention to join BJP. The main reason for joining BJP is that both UDF and LDF cannot do many things. I want to do something for Kerala. For this, I have to stand together. BJP. I have said that I am ready to contest the election, “he said announcing his decision to join the party.
