Lucknow: The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh’s dream project ‘International Film City’ is expected to start production by the end of this year i.e. December. The final DPR for the project will be handed over to Chief Minister Adityanath by Yamuna Industrial Development Authority on May 8, i.e. tomorrow. After studying this, the government will decide how the project will be taken forward. Developer selection will be done through global tender
Yamuna Industrial Development Authority is preparing DPR for the project. After this, it will be decided how and in what form this world-class project will be made. Along with this, the model of its financial management will also be decided. After everything is decided, the developer selection will be done through global tender. After this, the construction of the first phase can be started by laying its foundation stone by December.
Authority has 1000 acres of land
The authority already has 1000 acres of undisputed land in Sector 21 of Greater Noida. It is being told that the film city will be made jointly by the government and private developers i.e. on PPP model. Along with this, it will also be decided on what conditions the authority will give its land to the developer free of cost.
It may be mentioned that this year, America’s Coldwell Bankers Richard Ellis (CBRE) prepared the preliminary DPR of Film City. Now this same company will prepare the final DPR and give it to the authority. In the final DPR, it will be mentioned on which financial model it should be built.
The final details of the expenditure on the construction of Phase I, Phase II and Phase III of Film City and the construction time frame will be detailed. Along with its operation, maintenance and income from Film City, employment has also been calculated. The film city will also be developed as a tourist destination.

Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority has proposed 1,000 hectares of land in Sector-21 along the banks of Yamuna Expressway for Film City. At the same time, about 500 hectares of land of Noida Authority has been marked. It is worth mentioning that on September 18, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had announced the formation of a film city in Gautam Budh Nagar district during the Mandal review in Meerut.
Film City is to be built on 1000 acres of land in Sector-21 of Yamuna Authority area. In the film city, there will be arrangements for indoor and outdoor locations ranging from hotels, food courts, studios, for shooting. Along with the shopping complex, there will also be ample means of entertainment.
