UP Politics: Aparna Yadav joined BJP; Praising PM Modi

Aparna Yadav, the daughter-in-law of SP founder Mulayam Singh Yadav, is likely to joined BJP. Aparna Yadav is the wife of Prateek Yadav, brother of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav.

Aparna Yadav unsuccessfully contested the 2017 assembly election from Lucknow Cantonment seat, one of the nine assembly constituencies of the capital of Uttar Pradesh.

Speculation of Aparna’s entry into BJP was going on in full swing for the last few days. However, on Monday party chief Akhilesh Yadav rubbished the rumors and said it was his “family issue”. But sources close to the matter have told Zee Media that Aparna will formally join the saffron party tomorrow.

Aparna’s husband Prateek has nothing to do with politics and runs his own real estate and gym business. Prateek is the son of Mulayam Singh’s second wife Sadhna Gupta.

In 2016, Aparna and Prateek’s selfie with Narendra Modi went viral on social media. Aparna has made headlines many times for praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
