Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that the economy of Uttar Pradesh will be made the number one economy of the country in the coming five years. Now on the basis of big infrastructure projects and transparent investment systems, UP will achieve this target in terms of economy in the next five years. He said that before 2017 people outside used to laugh in the name of investment in UP. But breaking this negative perception in the last four and a half years, UP, which was ranked sixth in 2016, has reached second place in 2020. The Chief Minister was giving gifts of development projects in Gorakhpur. In the Baba Gambhirnath Auditorium, he laid the foundation stone of 21 projects costing Rs 130 crore and 50 projects costing Rs 32 crore in Gorakhpur on Sunday.
The Chief Minister said that before 2017 in UP, would anyone invest in situations like the kidnapping of traders, industrialists, Chauth recovery before setting up of industry, killing of traders? Today law and order in Uttar Pradesh is the best in the country. The criminals have either left the state or are in jails. Industrialists have got freedom from the bureaucratic web of bureaucracy through an environment of security as well as a single-window system. The state not only got an investment of Rs 4.50 lakh crore but also created employment opportunities for 1.5 crore people.
CM Yogi said that till 2016, Uttar Pradesh was ranked 16th in terms of ease of doing business. While B is at number two. I am sure that UP will come first in the new ranking. He said that investment and development projects become the medium of employment generation on a large scale. In the government sector also, 4.5 lakh people have got jobs in the last four years. For the first time, no finger was pointed at any selection commission due to the transparent system. Youth are also being given jobs and free Abhyudaya coaching for preparation.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that for a year and a half, the country and the whole world is suffering from the global pandemic Corona. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the fight against Corona is being fought vigorously in the country. Today, if we look at the figures of the country and the world, we will find that Uttar Pradesh is in a safe position from Corona. Along with dealing with the challenge of Corona, we worked with the aim of saving a life as well as livelihood and it has also yielded positive results.
Referring to the development works in Gorakhpur, the Chief Minister said that the new Uttar Pradesh, the new Gorakhpur, is in front of you. Remember Gorakhpur of 25 years ago. People were afraid of the name here, making strange assumptions. By breaking this negative image we have brought it to such a position that people now look upon Gorakhpur with respect. To change the image, an effort has to be made, hard work has to be done. The CM said that with the changing of the image, the wheel of development in Gorakhpur is moving fast. People who came here five years ago must have been baffled by the development works here. Along with saving this image, the citizens along with the public representatives will have to bear the collective responsibility of taking it forward. The Chief Minister also mentioned the four-lane roads built in Gorakhpur.
CM Yogi said that in October, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Gorakhpur AIIMS. Referring to health facilities, he said that before 2017, the only major medical centers in Gorakhpur and Basti divisions did not have facilities in BRD Medical College. Hundreds of children died of encephalitis every year between July and October. BRD Medical College, once on the verge of closure, emerged as a medical center with better facilities during the Corona period. There was once a medical college in Gorakhpur Basti Mandal, today a medical college is being built in Deoria, Kushinagar, Siddharthnagar, is functional in Basti.
The government has taken concrete steps for the destitute women during the Corona period. CM Yogi said that the government is working on a concrete action plan for the welfare of women destitute from Corona. Instructions have been given to get an immediate pension for such women. Like destitute children, for them, an action plan is being prepared. On this occasion, the provisions of Mukhyamantri Bal Seva Yojana started for the destitute children from Corona were also mentioned.
MP Ravi Kishan Shukla, Rajya Sabha member Jaiprakash Nishad, Mayor Sitaram Jaiswal, newly elected President of Zilla Panchayat Smt. Sadhna Singh, MLAs Dr. Radha Mohan Das Agarwal, Fateh Bahadur Singh, Mahendra Pal Singh, Sangeeta Yadav, State Women’s Commission Vice-Chairman Smt. Anju Chaudhary, BJP Regional President Dr. Dharmendra Singh, Divisional Commissioner Ravi Kumar NG, District Magistrate Vijayendra Pandian, etc. were present.
During the program, CM Yogi inaugurated a driver training center built in Chargawa with about five crore rupees. On this occasion, he also laid the foundation stone of the new building of the Collectorate to be constructed at a cost of more than Rs 54 crore. Along with these, the people of Gorakhpur city, Pipraich and Campierganj assembly constituencies will get the benefit of the projects worth Rs 16197.35 lakh, which were inaugurated and laid the foundation stone by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday for construction of roads, link roads, interlocking roads, drains, primary schools. CM Yogi inaugurated 50 development works worth Rs 3222.55 lakh and laid the foundation stone for development works worth Rs 12974.80 lakh.
