After the cancellation of UPTET 2021 due to the leak of exam paper on WhatsApp, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that the UP Special Task Force has been directed to arrest the gang who leaked the exam paper. Prompt action is being taken by identifying the culprits. The Chief Minister said that by registering a case against the culprits under the Gangster Act, their property would also be confiscated.

Meanwhile, at least 23 people have been arrested in connection with the paper leak of UPTET 2021 exam, said Prashant Kumar, Additional Director General (ADG) of Law and Order.
Basic Education Minister Dr. Satish Dwivedi said that the matter will be investigated by the Special Task Force (STF). UPTET 2021 exam paper leak will be done by UP STF. The Uttar Pradesh government will soon conduct the exam within a month. Dwivedi said.
More than 19.99 lakh candidates had to appear for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET).
Kumar told reporters here that the Special Task Force (STF) arrested 23 people from different cities of UP last night using technical and other intelligence.
This includes four from Lucknow, 13 from Prayagraj, three from Meerut STF and one from Kaushambi district.
Kumar said, “The photocopy of the question paper was obtained from him, which was shared with the government. And it turned out that it is the same set of papers of the examination.”
It was immediately decided by the government that these examinations would be canceled and the examinations would be conducted in the coming one month.
The government will bear the entire cost of this examination. Candidates will not have to pay the fees nor fill the examination form. In addition, it was decided that UPSRTC buses will be used to ferry candidates back to their respective homes using their admit cards.”
The official said the matter would be probed by the UP STF and the individuals or organizations involved in the leak would not be spared.
The question paper of the examination did not reach the examination centers till Sunday morning.
The items recovered from the accused include mobile phones and photocopies of question papers.
“Apart from UP, some people from Bihar have also been caught in this. Either the solver gang leaks the question paper, or a solver (person impersonating a candidate) appears instead of the candidate,” Kumar said. Said, more arrests would be made. ,
The official said the situation is under control at the centers and announcements are being made to urge candidates to go back to their homes.
