Waze case: NIA confiscates documents suggesting ‘bribe’ paid to ‘government officials’ by month

Mumbai, April 4: NIA has led documents in the security cordon outside industrialist Mukesh Ambani’s house and the alleged murder of businessman Mansukh Hiren, which shows some payments, which are suspected to be of bribe money, Mumbai Police Officers are being made in And administration, officials said here.

He said that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) is scrutinizing the documents found during the raid on Thursday at a club in Girgaum in South Mumbai to investigate the role of the now suspended police officer Sachin Waze, who is in the custody of the National Investigation Agency. . One of the documents shows the office name as well as the designation of the officers and an amount was mentioned against their names, and the same was tabulated by month, officials said.

The officials suspect that the amount mentioned against the office and the officials may be a bribe amount to be paid every month.

Before further details are shared, the NIA is likely to seek clarification regarding the documents from the club owner and others.

Officials said that if necessary documents would be shared with Income Tax or CBI officials for further investigation as the NIA is mandated only to investigate anti-terrorism cases.

He said that the club was frequented by Waze, who also met Naresh Gore and co-accused Vinayak Shinde. Both of them are currently in NIA custody.

The NIA on Thursday also recovered documents related to SIM cards purchased through Gore for its personal use. Gore has alleged that SIM cards were ordered from Ahmedabad in Gujarat and were handed over to Waze through Shinde, officials said.

One of these SIM cards was used by Waze to deliver a call to Heeran, the last call before the merchant was killed. The carcass of the deer, who was in possession of the SUV used in the security scare incident, was found in a drain on 5 March in Mumbra town in neighboring Thane district.

The buck was allegedly killed by Waze after reports surfaced that the case could be referred to a central agency for investigation. Initial investigations suggested that the deer was called to a place where he was rendered unconscious with the help of some drugs before being sentenced to death.

His vehicle was found outside Ambani’s house in Mumbai on 25 February with gelatin sticks and a threatening note.

The NIA has said in court that on 25 February, Waze took the car from Mansukh Hiren before putting explosives outside Ambani’s house and parking it.

Waze was arrested by the NIA on 15 March and is currently in the custody of the agency till 7 April.

The Maharashtra ATS, which was initially investigating the deer murder case, arrested Gore and Shinde. The case was also taken over by the NIA and both are in the custody of the agency till 10 April.
