Raipur: Dai-didi clinic has started operation in Raipur urban area as a pilot project of the state under Chief Minister Urban Slum Health Scheme. On the first day, this mobile clinic reached Gondwara area of Raipur and today Gogaon Anganwadi area of Hirapur sector.
The women welcomed him when he reached the mobile team of the Dai-Didi clinic. In Gondwara yesterday, where about fifty women underwent their treatment through this clinic, today more than hundred women got their treatment. Many pregnant and maternity women found the woman doctor among them and told them about their personal health related problems, and got their treatment done after checking them.

It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel launched the Dai-Didi clinic for women on 19 November, two days ago, on the birthday of former Prime Minister of the country Smt. Indira Gandhi. As a pilot project, he flagged off 3 special mobile Dai-Didi clinics for Raipur, Durg-Bhilai and Bilaspur Municipal Corporation areas from his residence. In this clinic all medical staff including doctors will be women and only women will be treated free of cost.
The women visiting the clinic thanked and thanked them for the sensitivity shown by the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel towards women. It is notable that the Dai-Didi clinic is the first of its kind in the country, which will treat only women. It is also noteworthy that due to hesitancy many times women are not able to tell their disease openly. Due to this, the correct treatment of his disease is not possible. Now due to being a female doctor and female staff in the Dai-Didi clinic, she is reluctantly undergoing her proper treatment. Through this mobile clinic in Raipur city, women are getting free treatment facilities near their home and women are also taking full advantage of this and coming in large numbers for their treatment.
Apart from breast cancer, special screening facility for pregnant women
Dai-Didi clinics have additional facilities for first aid of women as well as breast cancer screening by women doctor, self breast examination of beneficiaries, regular and special screening of pregnant women etc.
In collaboration with the Women and Child Development Department, this clinic is being set up in the slum area near the Anganwadi in the cities on pre-determined days. Along with this clinic, benefits of various beneficial projects of Women and Child Development Department are also being provided to pregnant women, children etc.
It is also noteworthy that the absence of a separate screening room and counselor for women in general clinics provides women with family planning tools, copper-T insertion, availability of emergency pills, birth control pills, weekly contraceptive pill, contraceptive injection, family planning counseling, STDs. Feels shy in counseling. Due to having dedicated female staff in this women’s clinic, women especially poor women from the slum area are now taking this type of counseling.
