YouTuber Paras Singh got bail, made racist remarks on Arunachal MLA

Bandardeva: Ludhiana (Punjab) YouTuber Paras Singh got bail from the sessions court in Yupiah on Friday. He was in judicial custody since May 27 for his racial remarks against MLAs Ninong Ering and Arunachal. SIT SP Rohit Rajbir Singh confirmed that the court has granted bail to Paras.

Paras’ advocate Rotom Vijay told that the court has granted bail to Paras with regular conditions. As such he has to support the police during the investigation, be present at the police station when called upon by the authority, and he is not to leave the country during the bail period.

It is to be known that on May 26, Paras was arrested by the Punjab Police after registering a case against Ering for using racial slurs. The YouTuber was also accused of inciting ill-will and hatred towards the people of the northeastern state and calling Arunachal a “part of China” in one of his YouTube videos. More than 10 FIRs were registered against Paras in different police stations of Arunachal Pradesh. A three-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) from Arunachal had gone to Ludhiana and obtained a three-day transit remand from a court there to bring the accused to Arunachal. 22-year-old Paras was brought to Arunachal on May 27.
