Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar completes historic run, becoming one of India’s biggest hits; breaks major box office records in 75 days

Even after 75 days since its release on December 5, 2025, Dhurandhar continues to dominate conversations and box office. Ranveer Singh’s action drama completed its historic run in theaters on February 17, demonstrating its rare staying power in a post-pandemic market known for sharp weekend surges and rapid weekend declines.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film went from a highly anticipated release to a full-blown theatrical smash. Strong word-of-mouth, repeat viewings, and repeat viewings over the weekend helped the film maintain momentum well beyond its opening week.

Numbers that changed the record books

Despite premiering on Netflix nearly two months after its release, the film continued to draw audiences to theaters. It grossed ₹894.49 crore in the country, watched by 36 million viewers – making it the second most-watched Indian film in the post-pandemic period.

Made on a budget of ₹225 crore, the film reportedly earned a profit of ₹669.49 crore and an ROI of 297.55 percent, cementing its place among the highest-grossing Hindi films in recent years. It also became the highest-grossing film for its lead cast – including Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal – as well as for director Aditya Dhar.

Its notable achievements include:
