His voice resonates in the valleys of Uttarakhand, Pawandeep Rajan is a self-learned singer and musician who auditioned for Sony Entertainment Television’s Indian Idol 2020. He hails from Champawat, Uttarakhand, and is the son of the very popular Kumaoni singer, Suresh Rajan. Once Pawandeep Rajan left the village, the people there did not want him to return. This was because he believed that Pawandeep Rajan could make the village very proud with his musical talent and change the destiny of everyone living there.

Villagers of Pawandeep Rajan always believed that with his singing talent he would be able to change the “weather” of his village. Everyone was excited when Pawandeep Rajan came to know about being selected for the Indian Idol 2020 and he also mentioned that he should return to the village only after winning the Idol 2020 title. The people of Champawat are very excited that a person from his village, who is a self-learned talent, is being appreciated on the national stage. During the Indian Idol 2020 audition, Pawandeep Rajan’s performance mesmerized the judges as he said, “You sang as if it were a show, not a competition.” It was a heartfelt performance ”. Pawandeep Rajan exploded with joy after listening to the judges, “I am now more excited to perform in Indian Idol 2020. Pawandeep made his singing career and television debut in 2015 with the singing reality show The Voice India. She auditioned for the show and was selected for Team Shaan (popular singer Shaan). He did very well throughout the show and this inspired him to make it to the finals and won the show title with a prize of Rs 50 lakh, a car, and a music company contract.

After making headlines, he started making his personal albums. He sang four songs in the film Romeo n Bullet. In 2015, he released his single Yakin, and in 2016, the personal album Chholiar had a total of 6 songs. He recently appeared on another singing reality show Indian Idol 2020.
