Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell is set to tie the knot with his fiance Vini Raman in Melbourne on March 27

It’s been almost two years since Maxwell got engaged to his longtime girlfriend of Indian origin, but last year the coronavirus pandemic hit his wedding plans and he had to wait an extra year to get married. But finally their wedding date is out and people are very excited about it.

One thing they get most excited about is their wedding invitation. With just over a month left for the wedding, the invitation to their special ceremony has created a lot of buzz on social media because of the language in which it is written.

Maxwell’s soon-to-be wife is an Australian citizen of Indian origin and many were wondering what their wedding would look like and the invitations pouring in on social media have responded.

According to actress Kasturi Shankar, the invitation that has gone viral on social media is a traditional ‘Tamil Muhurtam Patrika’, which suggests that their wedding will take place as per Tamil Brahmin traditions.

“Glenn Maxwell marries Vini Raman. According to the lovely traditional Tamil muhurta magazine, we can bet there could be a tambram ceremony… Will there be a white gown wedding as well?

Indian fans are excited to know that their wedding will follow Hindu traditions, but those who follow the couple on social networking sites are not surprised.

This is because their engagement ceremony took place according to proper Indian customs and while sharing pictures from the ceremony, Vini has made it clear that they will tie the knot in a grand Indian wedding.

Vini was born in Australia to Tamil parents of Indian origin. After completing her early education from Menton Girls Secondary College in Victoria, she studied medical science at the university level and now works as a pharmacist in Melbourne.

Glenn Maxwell has been a regular feature in Australia’s limited-overs set-up for the past several years. Owing to his long association with various IPL franchises over the years, he has earned himself a massive fan following in India as well.

Last year, he was one of the key contributors to RCB’s success as they finished in the top half of the points table and made it to the playoffs. This Bengaluru team had lost in the knockout rounds last year.

Starting a new chapter in his personal life, he will be looking forward to adding new chapters to his professional career as well, winning several titles with both club and country in the years to come.
