BCCI President: Sourav Ganguly in a hospital after complaining of a minor heart attack

Sourav Ganguly was taken to the Woodlands Hospital in Kolkata this morning after a workout in his gym. Sourav Ganguly was recently in Delhi to attend the unveiling of Arun Jaitley’s statue at Feroz Shah Kotla. Ganguly was earlier in Ahmedabad to attend the BCCI Annual General Meeting on December 24.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India, Sourav Ganguly, has been admitted to a hospital in Kolkata after complaining of a heart problem on Saturday morning.

Ganguly was taken to the Woodlands Hospital in Kolkata this morning after falling ill during a workout in his gym. Boria Majumdar of India Today confirmed that the former Indian captain will be discharged on Saturday after undergoing angioplasty.

“He got dizzy while he was in the gym and went to the Woodlands to get the test done. When it was discovered there was a heart problem and the hospital has now formed a 3-member board with Dr. Saroj Mondal who will do the procedure. @ SGanguly99 get well soon, ”Boria tweeted.

He had heart disease and is in Woodlands Hospital. But stable hospital sources will require a procedure to be confirmed. Should be out of the woods in the next few hours. I wish him a speedy recovery. @ SGanguly99

On the 68th birth anniversary of the former Finance Minister and the head of the Delhi and District Cricket Association, Ganguly was recently in New Delhi for the inauguration of the statue of the late Arun Jaitley, formerly known as Firoz Shah Kotla Stadium, at the Delhi Cricket Stadium.
