The 23-year-old bowler may not have found a place in the team on match day for Pakistan’s historic win, but his old dream has come true.
It was a double delight for Pakistan pacer Shahnawaz Dahani on Sunday. While his team clinched their maiden T20 World Cup win against arch-rivals India, the young international cricketer went beyond limits to meet his idol, Team India’s mentor MS Dhoni.
The 23-year-old didn’t find a place in the team for Pakistan’s historic win on match day, but being in the mix gave him a chance to see a long-standing dream come true. Dahani was one of the many Pakistani players who were seen chatting with the former Indian captain after a high-voltage encounter.
