Gauahar Khan says, ‘I am a Muslim and…’ hit back at a netizen; advocating for a uniform civil code

Actress Gauahar Khan hit back at a netizen on Twitter for criticizing various family laws and advocating for a uniform civil code especially for the Muslim community of the country. Netizens said that people outside India are not aware that there are different family laws for Hindus and Muslims in the country.

She said Hindus would have to follow the secular code but Muslims could impose ‘4 wives’ or ‘ban on education’ for their daughters.

She wrote, “The outside world does not know that India still has separate family laws for Hindus and Muslims. Hindus must follow a secular code. Muslims can have 4 wives and in the name of Sharia, their wives and Can ban education for girls. #UniformCivil Code has to be implemented. All Indians.”

To this Gauahar Khan replied, “Hey loser! I am a Muslim, and no one can restrict us from our rights, India is secular, it is a democracy, not a dictatorship as you wish! So be comfortable. Your American position, stop inciting hatred in my country!”

Supporting the expulsion of Umar Riaz, Bigg Boss 7 winner Gauahar Khan had on Saturday responded to a tweet upset over Umar’s expulsion.

“Sorry to say, but she was evicted because she was extremely aggressive. Not once but on several occasions. I’m surprised she wasn’t fired earlier. Karan has been extremely aggressive too. Really unfair this is That she is given many chances. Many criminals. It is a mental game,” Gauahar wrote in response, “Omar was a clear winner. Is that why she was kicked out?
