New Delhi: India set a target of 330 in front of England in the final and decisive match of the three-match ODI series in Pune. England won the toss again and invited India to bat. Team India were all out by scoring 329 runs in 48.2 overs. There was a time that India would score more than 350 runs, but in the end the entire team collapsed after the wickets of Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya fell. In the end, Shardul Thakur gave England a target of 330 runs thanks to good batting. But England’s team could score only 322 runs. In a breath-taking match, India won the last match by 7 runs to take the ODI series 2–1.

Batting first, Team India combined for the first wicket with Shikhar Dhawan (67) and Rohit Sharma (37) adding 103 runs. But after both the openers were dismissed, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul of the previous match were dismissed 7-7. But, India’s 25-over Naiya Rishabh Pant (78) and Hardik Pandya (64) combined to stand on the backfoot with a score of 157/4 in 25 overs. Both completed their half-centuries and shared a 99-run partnership. India managed to score 329 runs thanks to a 50-run partnership in the last over by Krunal Pandya (25) and Shardul Thakur (30).

Mark Wood took 3 wickets for England. Spinner Adil Rashid took 2 wickets. Sam Kuran, Ben Stroke, Reece Taple, Moin Ali and Lewingston took 1–1 wickets.

The start of the visiting team was very poor. Both his openers, who had a century in the previous match, were cheaply played in Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Ben Stroke, who came after him, was dismissed for 35 runs. David Malan played a half-century. Captain Jose Butler went on to score 15 runs. Playing his first match, Lewington was dismissed by 36 runs. Moin Ali struggled for a while, but by making 29 he became a victim of Bhubaneswar. Tom Karan kept the thrill until the end of the match. He was out after scoring 95 runs.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Shardul Thakur bowled well for India. Shardul took 4 wickets. Bhuvneshwar took 3 important wickets. T Natarajan got 1 wicket.
