IND vs ENG: Axar Patel celebrates with teammates in 3rd Test at Motera

India vs England 3rd Test Highlights: 13 wickets fell on Day 1 of the day-night Test between India and England in Ahmedabad as India ended the day on 99/3 in their first innings. Earlier in the day, Axar Patel took six wickets to help India out for 112 runs. This was Axar Patel’s five consecutive wickets in Test cricket.

After being asked to bowl first, Ishant Sharma brought the first success to the hosts as he sent Dom Sibley to the duck. Ishant is playing his 100th Test. The match is being played at the Motera Cricket Stadium.

India started proceedings on the opening day of the ongoing Day-Night Test against England in Ahmedabad, as the hosts closed the day at 99/3 and are trailing by 13 runs.

The architect of this tremendous show was the local boy Axar Patel, who played a key role in tying the audience by playing 112 runs in the first day. Meanwhile, the Indian innings will resume with Rohit Sharma, who is batting on 57 runs. Ajinkya Rahane on day 2.

Axar completed the innings with six scalps and conceded just 38 runs, making him the second spinner to return with the best figures in the day-night Test. Meanwhile, it was England’s fourth-lowest innings against India.
