New Delhi: Noted Bhajan singer Narendra Chanchal passed away in a hospital in Delhi on Friday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter and wrote, “Very sad to hear the news of Narendra Chanchal Ji’s death. He made his mark in the world of devotional songs. My condolences to his family and fans.” Narendra Chanchal was admitted to Delhi’s Apollo Hospital on 27 November. He was 80.

Many people who have liked the devotional songs of Narendra Chanchal have posted condolence messages and shared their popular numbers on social media. Apart from many hymns, Narendra Chanchal also sang in Hindi films. He won an award for the Besak Temple Mosque in the 1973 film Bobby.
