Both the stars are busy in promotions and are busy with new programs every day. Today again the dynamic duo were spotted at a promotional event of the film and the two were seen singing and dancing on stage in a super happy mood as fans cheered for them.
Talking about the film, it is a remake of the South sports drama of the same name. Helmed by Gowtham Tinnanuri, apart from Shahid and Mrunal, Jersey also stars Pankaj Kapur in a pivotal role.
The story of the film revolves around the life of a failed cricketer, who decides to resume his cricket career in his late 30s. Despite everyone doubting his ability, he single-handedly leads his team to victory.
The official announcement of the film was made in October 2019. Initially, it was to be released theatrically on August 28, 2020. Now, after facing several delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Jersey is all set to hit the matinee on December 31.
