Unilever CHRO Leena Nair resigns; Joins the chanel as Global CEO

Anglo-Dutch FMCG major Unilever’s first woman and youngest chief human resources officer Lena Nair has stepped down to join French luxury conglomerate, Chanel, as global chief executive.

In a statement announcing the change in its leadership executive, Unilever said, “Lena Nair, CHRO, decided to leave the company in January 2022 to pursue a new career opportunity as Global Chief Executive Officer, Chanel Limited. has done.”

According to reports, Nair will be based in London in her new position with French luxury group Chanel.

An alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur, Nair had joined HUL, the Indian subsidiary of Unilever, in 1992 and worked for 30 years.
