Farmers protest: Ghazipur border reopened, traffic movement from Delhi to UP
Delhi Traffic Police as saying that the Ghazipur border (Delhi-UP border), which was closed due to farmers’ protests against the Centre’s agricultural law, reopened for the traffic movement on Monday.
The Delhi Traffic Police tweeted, “In view of the current law and order situation on the Ghazipur border and the convenience of the public, the carriageway of NH-24 from Ghaziabad in Ghaziabad district, Uttar Pradesh to Delhi is opened.” .
As soon as the UP border was closed, it was advisable for commuters coming and going from Delhi and Uttar Pradesh to take routes passing through Anand Vihar, DND, Loni DND and Apsara borders.
The movement on Delhi’s borders with Haryana and Uttar Pradesh remained completely or partially closed until the end of November last year, due to the continued agitation by farmers against the three agricultural laws enacted by the government in September.
The entry and exit points between Singhu, Tikri, Auchandi, Piau Manari and Saboli and Mangesh between the national capital and the neighboring state of Haryana are still closed.
