10 November, Day: Friday: Dhanteras, Yam Deepak
According to the Panchang, Dhanteras or Dhan Trayodashi is celebrated on the Trayodashi date of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month. This year Kartik Krishna Trayodashi Tithi will start on 10th November at 12:35 PM and end on 11th November at 01:57 PM. Based on the Pradosh Muhurta of Trayodashi, Dhanteras is on Friday, November 10. Shukra Pradosh fast will also be observed on this day.
11 November, Day: Saturday: Kali Chaudas, Hanuman Puja
The second day of Diwali celebration is Kali Chaudas. Kali Chaudas is celebrated on Krishna Chaturdashi date. This year Kali Chaudas is on 11th November, Saturday. This year the date of Kartik Krishna Chaturdashi is from 01:57 pm on 11th November to 02:44 pm on 12th November. Goddess Kali is worshiped on the day of Kali Chaudas. There is also a tradition of Hanuman puja on Kali Chaudas.
12 November, Day: Sunday: Narak Chaturdashi, Diwali, Lakshmi Puja
This year the festival of Diwali is on 12th November, Sunday. Every year Diwali is celebrated on Kartik Amavasya. This year the date of Kartik Amavasya is from 02:44 pm on 12th November to 02:56 pm on 23rd November. Lakshmi Puja will be performed during Pradosh Kaal on 12th November, the day of Diwali. This time there is also Narak Chaturdashi, Kedar Gauri Vrat, Chopra Puja and Sharda Puja on 12th November.
According to the Hindu calendar, the festival of Bhaiya Dooj is celebrated on the second day of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month. This year Kartik Shukla Dwitiya Tithi is from 02:36 PM on Tuesday 14th November to 01:47 PM on 15th November. This year Bhaiya Dooj is on 14th November.
