New Delhi: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the country’s budget in the morning. Every market has its eyes on the share market. After this time budget, the share market saw an increase of over 2,000 points. The Nifty is also above the 14,000 mark and is trading at 14,174. Indian stock markets are trading up over 3 percent.
In her Budget 2021 speech, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced a capital expenditure of 5.54 trillion rupees for FY22, while in addition to Rs 4.39 trillion for FY 2015, it raised the disinvestment target for FY 2018 to 1.75 trillion rupees. Among the major indices, the BSE Sensex gained 2,017 points to 48,303 at 14,000 levels and the Nifty is trading above 14,185 points. IndusInd Bank (up 11 percent) and ICICI Bank (up 10 percent) topped the Sensex, followed by State Bank of India, Mahindra & Mahindra, and HDFC (all up 6 percent).
All Nifty sectoral indices, except the Nifty Pharma Index, are colored in green under the leadership of Nifty Bank. In broader markets, the BSE midcap and smallcap indices rose 1.8 percent and 1.1 percent, respectively.
