Subrahmanyan appointed as Chairman of National Security Council

New Delhi: S. N. Subrahmanyan has been appointed as the Chairman of the National Security Council (NSC) for a period of three years. His experience is likely to guide the National Safety Council, whose new occupational safety will play a major role in ensuring safety in work locations under the Health and Work Conditions, 2020 (OSH Code, 2020).

The National Security Council will assist the DGFASLI in re-creating the rules governing OSH in the country that have not been updated for 50 years. The NSC will also be involved in preparing plans for third party audits and certification under the OSH Code. NSC is already working on the safety rating of installations based on the performance of their OSH which can be extended through the country and connected to the inspection system.
