‘Ram Teri Ganga Maili’ star Rajiv Kapoor dies of heart attack

New Delhi: Rajeev Kapoor, younger brother of Rishi Kapoor and Randhir Kapoor, died on Tuesday at the age of 58. He suffered a heart attack after which Randhir Kapoor rushed him to Inlax Hospital. However, he was declared dead on arrival at the hospital. Randhir Kapoor confirmed the news of his death, “I have lost my youngest brother, Rajiv. He is no more. The doctors tried their best but could not save her. I am in the hospital, waiting for his body. “

Rajiv Kapoor is best known for his performances in Ram Teri Ganga Maili (1985), Mera Saathi, Hum To Pardes and Ek Jaan Hai Hum (1983). He also directed Rishi Kapoor starrer Prem Granth. He was the brother of the late actors Rishi Kapoor and Randhir Kapoor. He made the 1991 film ‘Henna’ and bankrolled with ‘Aa Ab Laut Chalen’. The veteran actor was set to make his comeback to Bollywood after 28 years with Ashutosh Gowariker’s Toolidas Jr. The film was announced in December 2020 under the leadership of Sanjay Dutt.
