New Delhi: Kisan Mahapanchayat rally has been called by BJP Kisan Mahapanchayat in Kaimla village of Karnal district of Haryana. In this rally, the Chief Minister of the state Manohar Lal Khattar is going to address the farmers. But thousands of farmers gathered there to oppose them. The police tried to drive them away but the farmers did not believe it. Police fired cold water splashes and tear gas shells at the furious farmers. This has made the situation there tense.
Hundreds of farmers from the surrounding area have gathered there. After a clash with the police, all these farmers have now moved towards the villages and the farm barn. A large number of police forces have been deployed there.
Meanwhile, Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala lashed out at CM Khattar. He tweeted, “Mr. Manohar Lal Ji, stop pretending to be a farmer mahapanchayat in Kamila village of Karnal. Stop the conspiracy to spoil law and order by messing with the feelings and emotions of the donors. If you want to communicate, do it to the Annadata who has been staging the borders for the last 46 days. “
BJP-ruled Haryana made headlines in November last year when it decided to stop farmers coming to Delhi from Punjab and used force on them. Still reports and video footage of police clashes with the farmers, barricades, breaking barricades, tear gas and water splashes on the farmers for a few days were revealed.
However, following heavy criticism, the central government has planned to communicate extensively with farmers to remove the ‘misconception’ about the three new agricultural laws. PM Modi himself has participated in such a program. CM Khattar also wants to communicate with farmers and clarify the situation on agricultural laws. Khattar has also stated earlier that the MSP will not be removed.
